Our Mission

Building bridges between Poland and the United States

The Polish-American Center aims to strengthen and develop relations between Poland and the United States by promoting cooperation rooted in the values that unite both nations. Inspired by the legacy of Tadeusz Kościuszko—one of the greatest heroes of both Poland and the United States - the Center is intended to become a living symbol of friendship, mutual understanding, and strategic transatlantic cooperation.

Polish and American flags

The Center will serve as a shared platform for Polish-American initiatives in Poland - an open space for dialogue, creativity, and the exchange of ideas and experiences. It will not be merely a place, but a dynamic transatlantic community connecting people, ideas, and institutions committed to strengthening the enduring friendship between Poland and the United States.

We will also aim to support Polish companies planning to expand into the U.S. market, help young talents pursue opportunities at leading universities in the United States, and create a collaborative environment that brings together business, education, diplomacy, and culture within a cohesive ecosystem of transatlantic relations.

The Center’s mission:

  • Developing a strategic platform for Polish-American dialogue and building lasting bridges of cooperation - activities focused on key areas such as business, technology, defense, energy, education and science, international cooperation, culture, history and the arts, as well as intergenerational exchange.
  • Mapping, connecting, and activating the Polish diaspora - creating a platform that brings together the Polish diaspora, its friends, and Poland; identifying outstanding individuals (including young scientists and professionals) active in Poland and the United States, and linking them with Polish and American institutions and leaders.
  • Representing the interests of the Polish diaspora in Poland and of Poland in the United States - identifying barriers that hinder closer transatlantic cooperation, proposing solutions, and ensuring that the perspectives of both the Polish diaspora and Poland reach opinion leaders and media in Poland and the United States.
  • Supporting the development of Poland and the region - strengthening their position as a reliable strategic partner and an attractive destination for investment, particularly in the context of Polish-American relations, while drawing on the intellectual, academic, and economic potential of the region.
  • Promoting transatlantic cooperation and strengthening Polish-American relations - building a broad community of leaders, experts, representatives of the younger generation, and institutions engaged in advancing dialogue and partnership between Poland and the United States.
Portrait of Tadeusz Kościuszko

Inspired by the legacy of our shared hero, Tadeusz Kościuszko, the Center will serve as a living symbol of transatlantic friendship, common values, and enduring cooperation between Poland and the United States.

We stand today before a unique opportunity. History has given us a moment, a symbol, and a place. The 250th anniversary of American independence, the legacy of Tadeusz Kościuszko, and the growing role of Kraków and Poland together create an opportunity we must not waste.

"Poland now sits at the table where global decisions are shaped. Let us seize this opportunity"

— Ambassador USA to Poland Thomas Rose, 05.12.2025
